All About Our Woolpack
Welcome to the Woolpack. It’s great to have you join us!
Puget Sound Woolpack is an online space for all fiber enthusiasts, adventurers, and creators in this beautiful region of the world. Whether you are lucky enough to live here or you are visiting, I hope you will find something that inspires and brings you happiness as you browse this website.
The idea for PS Woolpack was borne out of my excitement and happiness that our yarn community brings me every day. It is vibrant, welcoming, and dynamic and I realized it would be wonderful to have as much information in one place – a one-stop point of reference for all the fiber happenings close to home.
Puget Sound Woolpack is here for you! Check out the “What’s On” section to learn more about events, classes, knitting groups and knit-alongs. In the Blog you will find regular features on “Fiber Heroes”, those inspiring members of our community. Monthly reviews of yarn can be found in the “Yarn Test Kitchen” – discover what members of the test kitchen panel create with one skein of yarn each. You will find lots of ideas, suggestions, and fiber inspiration in the “Yarn Adventures” section.
I urge you to get involved, consume, and immerse yourself in everything you can. Yarn folk are the loveliest people, and here in the Puget Sound region, we have some of the best – enjoy every minute!
Meet The Editor
I am Keeley Richardson and I’ve been a knitter for as long as I can remember. I picked up my first knitting needles at the age of six. All the women knitted in my home – my Nan, Mum, and Aunt, so it was only natural I followed in their footsteps.
My family and I moved from England to The Pacific Northwest seven years ago and we immediately fell in love with the area and all that it has to offer. I was beyond delighted to meet fellow knitters, make friends, and immerse myself in all the local yarn community. I have worked and taught in a local yarn store for three years.
